Question 3

Question 3

There are many benefits of online learning! here are the most important for me:

- You can study at your own pace, you can study at midnight…If a student is busy with sporting commitments he/she can complete the work when it suits them. As we know not all students learn at the same pace./ Saving things on a computer allows students the opportunity to chip away at work at a pace they are comfortable with.

- Every student has a unique learning style. Some students are visual learners, some
learn better when they "learn by doing." Web-based learning environments permit the
instructor to build one course, yet implement a variety of resources, so students can
utilize materials in whichever way works best for them.
For example: Instructors can use Blackboard's Course Documents and Course
Information areas to post all sorts of support documents for students, including
handouts, audio clips, readings, and lecture notes. If this
information is available to the students, they can access content and review it at a selfdetermined pace. So in a nut shell online learning helps cater for multyiple intelligences.

- The time saving elements introduced by web-based education tools like Blackboard
apply to both the instructor and the student. Students benefit because they have
immediate access to course materials at any location. They do not have to spend time
walking across campus to the instructor’s office or searching for a reading in the library.
Instructors can minimize time spent in office hours, and address student concerns
online instead. Therefore online learning provides a time efficent alternative.

- Through operations such as blackboard student progress can be monitored closely. Online exams and ongoing topic tests gives the teacher the power to keep students on task. Also with online learning the teacher has the opportunity to make assessments more inviting to the styudents. Such as the students may have to complete a review on a show or clip that can be accessed via the internet at a particular time. This not only gives the student responsibility and power but also creatres excitement among students as they embark on fun home assignments.
